Triggers overview
A trigger is the entry point of a workflow. Without an armed trigger, only a manual launch creates a run.
⚡ Trigger types
| Type | When to use | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Manual | Tests, ad-hoc ops | Run button in the UI |
| Cron | Schedule (daily, hourly) | Cron |
| Webhook | External system pushes an event | Webhook |
| Object event | Immediate Dolibarr reaction | Object event |
⚡ Typical chain

⚡ Best practices
- One workflow = one primary business trigger (avoid double firing).
- Test with Simulate and a representative payload.
- Document timezone for Cron and secret for webhook.
