Enable an example

The Knot Core repo ships JSON templates in examples/*.knot.json. Import one to validate the editor and runtime in minutes.

Recommended sample

examples/test-greeting.knot.json — manual trigger, If/Else branches, ideal smoke test.

🚀 Import a sample file

1. In Knot, open Workflows → Import.

2. Pick a .knot.json file from your module clone or Dolistore package.

3. Review the preview modal: name, format version, node count.

4. Confirm import — the workflow appears as a draft.

5. Open the editor, check Problems, then Simulate with fictitious data (@example.com, Acme Solar).

6. Activate when you want a real run (not dry-run).

Test data

Do not import workflows with real URLs or emails. Use demo.example.com and *@example.com when adapting.

Templates in Dolibarr lists guides and showcase demos — often faster than file import:

1. Templates → pick a guide.

2. Click Use this template — Knot clones a draft workflow.

3. Adjust credentials and business fields, then Simulate before activation.
