Installation

Knot Core is GPL-3.0 as a ZIP on knot.tools, on Dolistore and on GitHub. Installation is a standard Dolibarr module under htdocs/custom/knot/ — no Node.js required in production (prebuilt frontend assets).

Try before you install

The online demo provides a temporary Dolibarr + Knot instance. For local dev, use Docker in the core/docker/ folder of the developer repo.

Dolibarr cron	Enabled (scheduled workflows)

Multi-entity

Knot honors Dolibarr entity scoping. Check permissions on every entity where you enable workflows.

🚀 Install the module

1. Log in to Dolibarr as an administrator.

2. Download the ZIP from knot.tools/core, or from the Knot Core listing on Dolistore.

3. Download and install the module, or deploy the ZIP to htdocs/custom/knot/ then enable it under Setup → Modules.

4. Open Knot and finish the setup wizard — enable the engine so the Knot cron is registered.

5. Run Doctor (?mode=doctor) and fix any FAIL cards before production.

🚀 Manual install (ZIP / Git)

1. Place the knot folder in htdocs/custom/knot/.

2. Ensure Dolibarr can write to documents/ (logs, module cache).

3. Enable the module under Setup → Modules.

4. Run SQL migrations if the wizard prompts you.
