Diagnostic failed

A diagnostic may fail or finish as a partial scan. Common causes below.

Symptoms

• « Failed » badge in Mission Control
• Missing report or empty modules section
• Error code KM_ANALYSIS_* or KM_SNAPSHOT_*

Common causes

Cause	Action
Unreadable PHP module	Fix syntax or temporarily exclude; see degraded modes
Expired reference snapshot	Refresh cache; verify HTTPS to license.knot.tools
Invalid signature	Re-download snapshot; never bypass crypto
Large instance timeout	Raise CLI max_execution_time; see Performance

Is partial scan acceptable?

Yes if the degraded modes banner lists affected modules and critical items remain trustworthy. Otherwise fix before cutover.
