Knot Migration requires a signed license exchanged via license.knot.tools.

Activation TL;DR

1. Request beta access on knot.tools/beta (no public checkout during private beta)
2. Receive an activation_code (KMG- prefix) after approval on license.knot.tools
3. Enable the Dolibarr Knot Migration module
4. Paste the code in admin/setup.php (or the in-product activation modal)
5. The Knot › Migration sidebar entry appears

API guard

Sensitive endpoints (api/analysis/*, api/cloning/*) call LicenseUsabilityGuard::assertUsable(). Missing or expired license → HTTP 403 license_not_usable.

Grace period and degraded modes

When license.knot.tools is unreachable, a progressive grace period applies (reminder → warning → read-only). See Degraded modes.

Dual-instance

Some tiers allow a temporary target instance for cloning (48 h). The instance fingerprint is registered on the central server.
